The Pentax K5 DSLR – More Power and Speed
January 23rd, 2012 by adminShould you be in the market for a serious upgrade from what you have been using, then you may want to consider the Pentax K5 DSLR camera. The clever implementation of technology has resulted in a higher performing number of new features. For example, the K5 represents improvements in the ability to sense lighting conditions and images more accurately. Improvements in auto-focus speed and resolution is just one among other refinements. There is a wide range of customization features for photos, and of course you can do that with videos with a smaller menu available. There is much more to the Pentax K5, and we will get into that straight away.
Each new selling season, we look to camera makers and casually anticipate what they have to reveal to us. The Pentax K5 does seem to be making a strong effort to answer the call to action. Changing and challenging lighting conditions along with almost any other shooting environment can be handled quite well. Photos can be taken at almost a moments notice with the auto-focus design in the K5 which was not present in other models. The K5 has new design improvement that will produce clearer photos for those troublesome low light shots. The difference has been reported to be noticeable by users who have put the K5 through some paces.
If you are also a video shooter, then of course you can do that too with the K5. Actually, some people may not buy a digital camera if it did not have the ability to shoot video. We feel the video in the K5 is superior to what you will find in many other digital cameras. The resolution for the videos is 25 FPS or 1920 x 1080 pixels.
Also, for viewing you will have the ability to watch them in complete proportion to High Density (HD) movies. As far as being able to customize your videos, they exist although not as extensive as what can be done for photos. If you desire, you can add digital filtration settings as well as custom images.
Image stabilization is always an important consideration with a good digital camera. Pentax’s technology is called, Shake Reduction or SR, and is simply compensation of roughly 2.5 to 4 shutter steps. The obvious result will be clearer photos without the frustrating results otherwise seen. If you like to occasionally take multiple exposures, then you will not see the push button for it. In order to do that, you will need to do custom settings adjustments.
A lot of folks love working with various customizing functions, and the Pentax K5 will satisfy the most avid enthusiasts.
However, do remember that what is available for video is less than that for images. We feel the K5 is truly a solid experience for anyone who uses it to the fullest extent possible.
